As a nervous and completely uninformed first-timer, I tested the patience of a few realtors before finding one as caring and professional as he was. Despite being newcomers to the market, Monty made it a stress and hassle free process. He was always available to discuss each step of the way whether in person, by phone, or email. We were first time home buyers in an extremely competitive market and Monty was the perfect person to navigate the process for us. He was ALWAYS available to show us a house, even on short notice. He was quick to get us comps in the neighborhoods and check in with the listing agent for all the homes that we were intersted in ASAP to get a feel for the situation, and help us get an offer in quickly if we wanted to go that route. Most importantly, he NEVER pressured us to go above our budget, or move on something we weren't sure about. In a little over a month, we purchased a home that checked all of our boxes. In this crazy market, we were worried we would have to purchase at the top of our budget, but we were able to get a home well within our budget with Monty's help. We highly recommend him!

What could have ending being a complicated transaction, because I wasn’t the primary owner and because the condo was a mutual, (I know, complicated) turned out to be relatively stress-free transaction. Any real estate agent can setup an email alert for you with random properties based on some variables. Monty actually spends time getting to know you and what things are important. Then he helps find properties that truly meet your needs. We only viewed 4 houses before we found the right one. Through Monty’s superb negotiation skills we went under contract in 3 days and were ready to close in only a couple of weeks. Finally, I think what makes Monty a great agent, besides his local knowledge, responsiveness, process, and negotiation skills, is that he has an incredible team of contractors ready to help you turn any house into a home. Monty didn't just say goodbye at the closing table. He helped us and manage all the little projects we needed to do as homeowners (painting, chimney sweeps, ADT, utilities, etc). Monty not only has a “guy” for everything, but professional contractors, painters, landscapers, etc. We enjoyed working with him so much that we had him helped us rent our Condo in D.C. Again, Monty managed that process with incredible responsiveness and skill.

He helped me to put an offer on that house. Even though I did not end up buying the house, Monty made a very good first impression on me. As a result, I continued to work with him in the house search. Seven weeks later and after an intense search and making offers on five different houses, we found a property in Chevy Chase, which we ended up buying. There were two things that I would like to highlight. First, Monty was very responsive and patient. Whenever I saw a house that would come on the market I would call him and we would go see the property within a few hours whether it was middle of a working day or the weekend. This was essential given how competitive the real estate market has been in the area. Monty was always honest and I never felt that he was pushing me to buy a house just so that he could make his commission quickly. He understood what my preferences were and he would give me objective feedback. Monty was also very resourceful during the buying process. He referred me to the best people, including a loan officer who gave me the mortgage with best terms.
